When I began to build my layout, I made the choice to use DCC to control everything, partly because DCC seemed more flexible, and also because I could see this would be the best way for me to interface the layout with a PC system for layout automation.
Since I began building the layout, I have used a few different DCC components, and I’ll cover my own experience with them here.
I have also written several scripts for automating my layout via the PC, and I’ll also provide information on how I achieved my goals.
